Cerro Leones

The last place we visited while we were in Bariloche was a place called Cerro Leones. Cerro Leones was at one time an underwater volcano. When it was an active volcano, it formed various caves. We took a tour of these caves and enjoyed the beautiful views Cerro Leones afforded of Bariloches and the Andes.

Walking up to the caves

One of the caves

The largest cave had a small pond inside of it. To reach that cave we had to crawl through a small hole. Here we are with our hard hats on getting ready to crawl into the cave.

Here is the inside of the cave and someone crawling back out of it.

After exploring the cave, we walked further up the hill and were greeted by this gorgeous view.
